Sometimes a little make up and costume brings out the scary in you. I have asked myself many times what my images mean? What my story is? I decided I don't want a story, a label of what I create. I see different things in my images than another person might see, so I would like to leave it up to you the viewer to decide what it means, the story, the label. Now for what I see...Theses images that use my younger two daughters as the models, some princess dresses and a bunch of halloween make up were last minute photos we decided to do. For me I see a lot of dark things, which makes me wonder why? And should I see these things? What does it mean? I have a close relationship with death, not in a creepy I want to die way but I have experienced death first hand in my lifetime so it appears for me in my art a lot. It is hard because I use my own children as my models but death does not have to be a scary thing. It can be beautiful and interesting. Though these images here are meant to be scary, there is still beauty, at least I see the beauty.
I used my iPhone 6 for many of these images and used Instagram, Lightroom 5 and Photoshop CC for editing. I also used my Nikon D810 with a 70mm lens.
